Marta Fernández

Marta graduated in Political Science and Administration at Pompeu Fabra University. During her university period, she collaborated with some political and student organizations with a critical vision of the current society. Convinced internationalist, she later studied at the CEI of Barcelona an MA in “Diplomacy and International Public Service”, focusing on Human Rights and Development.

After three years in Jordan, working with other actors of the development field, she has been able to increase her knowledge about the country and the Middle East, as well as her passion for the Arab world. The current context, characterized by tension and conflict, has reinforced her commitment to non-violence as an social transformation instrument and her interest in strengthening political communities and tackling inequalities.

Currently, she is project coordinator in the Jordan’s office and she works in the prevention of violent extremisms with a social and protection of Human Rights approach.
