[vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/6″][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]The Nonviolence Factory (TNF)<\/strong> is a training school and meeting place focused on promoting strategies to confront authoritarianism and defend human rights and democracy in the Euro-Mediterranean. It is held annually in Barcelona<\/strong> and the participants are invited only with invitation. It will be celebrated in Barcelona from 11<\/strong><\/span>th to 15th of Novembre. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

It is organized by the Novact Institute of Nonviolence, in collaboration with leading human rights organizations and civil resistance movements.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This year, The Nonviolence Factory (TNF) is hosting the European Civic Academy<\/a> (ECA) \u2013 an annual event organised by the European Civic Forum<\/a> which aims to connect and build bridges between civil society and academia. ECA 2024 will take place at TNF on 14 November, consisting of a series of closed-door panels focusing on security politics, (digital) authoritarianism and surveillance capitalism.<\/p>\n

The Nonviolence Factory connects and resources movement-builders, frontline communities, community organizers, human rights defenders, public sector actors, artists, and democracy advocates working in diverse geographic and cultural contexts.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Nonviolence Factory aims to become an international reference point for the promotion of a new ecosystem based in Human Rights, Nonviolence and Democracy.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 2023 edition specific topic was: Creation of alternatives to confront the authoritarian wave sweeping the World, especially at the Euro-Mediterranean region. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2024 edition specific topic is: Mass Surveillance and the use of new technologies to control civil society and shrink human rights defender’s work.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
