Unsilence Gaza: Break the silence and complicity with the genocide in Palestine
As part of the Primavera Sound 2025 festival, the Unsilence Gaza campaign has been launched—an artistic and political action to shed light on the genocide that Israel is perpetrating against the Palestinian people, and to denounce the silence and complicity that allow it to continue.
The campaign, conceptualized by Casa Nostra, Casa Vostra and NOVACT, with the support of the Primavera Sound Foundation, combines sound creation, protest, and solidarity.
At the heart of the project is an immersive soundscape at the entrance to Primavera Sound, created by Palestinian sound engineer Oussama Rima, inviting the audience to listen to the sound of bombs—the sound of the genocide Israel is carrying out in Gaza. A reminder that in Palestine and other parts of the world, sound is pain, fear, torture, and trauma.
This action is also complemented by the Unsilence Gaza booth inside the festival, where campaign t-shirts and sweatshirts are available for purchase. All proceeds will go directly to emergency medical aid through the Palestinian Medical Relief Society.
Once again, we want to raise a collective outcry against international complicity, which enables Israel’s colonization, apartheid, occupation, and genocide against the Palestinian people, and the normalization of that genocide.
The opposite of the sound of bombs is not silence. Silence is what allows them.
