Objectives of the Conference

During the conference, there will be various sessions to discuss and share insights into the reality experienced at the southern border. Firstly, the 2022 report on human rights violations at the Southern Border will be presented. This report was collaboratively produced by migrants, anti-racist groups, and other human rights organizations. Its aim is to contribute to monitoring human rights at the Southern Border.

Additionally, the conference will provide a platform to share best practices in monitoring human rights violations and to explore various aspects of the reality at the Southern Border. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the organizations and entities working on the ground. Most importantly, the conference will facilitate collective brainstorming to develop tools and strategies for ending violence at the border.

The Maritime Museum of Barcelona will serve as an iconic venue for this gathering, where we can collectively engage in critical discussions and reflections on migration and human rights.
